Patient Safety
Joint Patient Safety Reporting (JPSR) system standardizes event capture and data management on medical errors and close calls/near misses for the Military and Veterans Health Systems. The JPSR system improves identification and documentation of patient safety related events for the Veterans Affairs medical center, military hospital and clinic staff, active duty, veterans and their families. The effort provides more awareness and insight into safety related incidents which increases the early detection and prevention of patient harm.
JPSR enables the DoD to learn how to prevent problems, rather than have patients suffer from mistakes.
